I have had a terrible experience with a "certified" 2014 Ram that I purchased at Cartown. I drove from Louisville expecting a good working vehicle considering it was certified. When I got there the truck had massive vibrations that they argeed to fix if I bought the truck at full asking price. Upon pickup the truck seemed to be riding more smooth. But on the way home I noticed the back power windows and the cruise control were non a operational. Now the key fob will not work and I have a 23k truck in my driveway that will not start. I have to get it towed and pay for a deductible to get it fixed. I know it may not be the fault of the store but their certified vehicles are junk and not to be trusted. I use the truck for my business so I will be loosing money every day I have to deal with these problems. Obviously I'm not happy.
I went down there after "winning 200 dollars" in their instant win game that came in the mail. They of course strung me along making me believe I would get both the 200 hundred and a vehicle in my price range. After 4 hours on the lot I got neither....just trying to take advantage. They kept trying to talk me into higher payments. I feel duped....the guy just handed me a 5 dollar gift card like it was no big deal that he let me believe the whole time I was going to being getting 200. There is some stupid loop hole that literally no one could know by reading the fine print. He said it wasn't their fault they hire a company to do the mailer. The kicker...he wouldn't give the name of the company or the mailer back to us (I wanted to research who sent those bad boys out). So you know...go ahead and buy a high priced vehicle from liars. Most dealerships are like that...I just prefer not to buy from companies like that. Go to glenn. They treated me way better.
I went in too buy two times in the last 3 months. Found what I wanted and got great prices. They were honest, helpful. I go went predetermined price and what I want. These were these deals were straight and easy to come to. I will go back and I will highly recommend this place.
Do yourselves a favor...if you are conscientious enough to be reading these reviews before a car purchase...DO NOT bring your business here. I am a single mother who does not have a lot of money to spare; my only prized possession is my children - I feel dishonest business practices have led me to lose hard earned money and the theft/loss/destruction of his property has put my son's life in danger.
If there were a zero star option, I would rate this business as such. I will share my family's experience in hopes doing so will save others the stress we have been through. Unbeknownst to me, my 18 year-old son, a college student, visited Car Town Chrysler, hoping to purchase a truck. Sales staff told him with no credit, he would need a co-signer. He hoped his grandmother would co-sign. His salesman then allowed him to sign paperwork for the loan without talking to Grandma and he drove off the lot with a truck the same day . Once the papers were mailed to her (out of state), Grandma did not like the terms and chose not to co-sign. At this point, my son called his salesman to ask what to do and was told his trade-in had already been sold and, therefore, he could return the truck but his car was "gone". After spending several days continuing to drive the truck to work (out of fear he no longer had his own car), my son finally came to me for help. I drove him to the lot on Saturday, 12/16, where we found out the car had never been sold. We were then made to pay $302 for mileage put on the truck and $198 for "work done to the trade-in car" (which we did not ask for) before the keys , and car, were returned to us. As we got in the car, my son noticed his rear view mirror was gone. We inquired about its whereabouts and were met with shrugs and "we have no idea". Staff promised to talk to the service department Monday to "find out what happened to it." When no one called us Monday, I called the store, texted the general line, texted the salesman and was told, "The service man who worked on it is not here. I will tell you when I find out." This is Tuesday and I am still waiting for my mirror. My son is unsafe while he drives without it.
